Thanks to all of our guests for a great first month at the BJJ Hostel! It has been a great time but there are much more good times just around the corner. Here’s just a few photos from our guests during our first month!

Thanks to Josh from Denver for staying at the BJJ Hostel for 2+ months. He made a move to escape the cold weather and snow in Colorado and has been enjoying his time out in the sun here in Pacific Beach. Josh was originally from a 10th planet gym but has found a new home here with Baret Yoshida at the Arena MMA gym. He’s currently focused on competing at NAGA San Diego on March 21st where he’ll be competing for the first time in the gi! In his short time here, Josh has been able to meet some incredible grapplers including Saulo and Xande Ribeiro, Baret Yoshida, Eduardo Telles, Clark Gracie, and Nathan Orchard.

Thanks to Josh from Louisiana for joining us here at the BJJ Hostel and sharing your experience and energy with us! Josh was our first black belt guest and runs a BJJ Revolution academy in Baton Rouge. Josh spent his time training with the BJJ Revolution team here in San Diego between Barum Jiu Jitsu Academy with Alfredo Barrum and the BJJ Revolution Team with Rodrigo Medeiros. We hope to host him again soon when he comes through for the World Championships in June :). He also makes some awesome jiu jitsu tutorial videos on youtube. Thanks to Terren for staying with us for a few weeks at the BJJ Hostel! Terren is originally from New York and trained at a Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu academy in Virginia before making his stay here in San Diego. He is a blue belt in BJJ and trained with Saulo and Xande Ribeiro at the University of Jiu Jitsu and celebrated the ultimate BJJ birthday gift, three epic no-gi rounds with Saulo Ribeiro. Terren is currently serving the Navy and has relocated near Seattle but we look forward to hosting him again during his visit to San Diego this coming May!

Thanks to Heather for stopping by the BJJ Hostel where she spent a lot of time drilling in the living room! She is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is looking to compete at the Pan AM’s in March 12-15 in Irvine, CA. She currently trains with Saulo and Xande Ribeiro at the University of Jiu Jitsu and is looking to make her mark in the sport with hard work and dedication towards her training.

Come book your stay at the BJJ Hostel today! We’re quickly filling up and we’d love to have you here in San Diego where you can train with the best in the world, enjoy the always-sunny weather, and lounge on the beautiful beaches!
